The rules are in place to protect the health and well being of the fish, the environment and the safety of all anglers.

The winter season runs from 2nd November to 30th March.

Please note CCTV is in use at all times. 

  • Please close all gates immediately livestock in fields
  • Strictly no cars beyond the car park
  • No dogs permitted unless by prior arrangement
  • Three rods per angler
  • Maximum of three nights per week
  • Absolutely no retaining of fish
  • Please bring your own nets, mats and slings but they must enter the fishery dry
  • No death rigs or twig rigs (rigs will be randomly checked)
  • No particles but sweetcorn is permitted in moderation. 
  • No firearms allowed on site
  • No open fires
  • No unattended rods
  • Please keep the lodge and toilet clean and as you would expect to find it
  • Do not lift the carp out in the net, please use the weight sling under the net to protect the fish
  • Treat any wounds with the antiseptic provided
  • Minimum line breaking strain 15lb
  • No drug abuse or excess alcohol consumption
  • All rubbish to be taken home including cigarette butts and teabags
  • No feeding or fishing the stock ponds
  • Please use the toilets, no defecating on the bank
  • Guests anglers are permitted by prior arrangement only (£30 per 24hours). Maximum of one guest per 24 hour session.
  • Please be aware pest controlling may take place at any time. 
  • All fish must be accurately weighed and photographed for identification.
